Run Loop
The Tribute Quota
A run is a haul with a deadline attached: parts and resources are collected from the facility, handed over, and the team is expected to reach a Tribute quota before it can leave. The quota rises as the team clears rounds, so the loop tightens the longer a lobby survives.
The rule, in order
- 01 Bank early. A part in the drop point cannot be lost in a corridor.
- 02 Decide the last room before you enter it. The expensive decision is the one made with a full inventory and a chase already running.
- 03 A rising target means the safe number of rooms per round goes down, not up.
Why it matters
A run in Escape from Playtime is a series of small commitments made with incomplete information, and this rule is one of the levers that decides how expensive a wrong commitment is. Treat it as a budget rather than a stat: the team that knows what it is spending is the team that gets to choose when to leave.
