The Perm-A-Lounge Computer
Progression is tracked and rewards are inspected on the Perm-A-Lounge computer, which is also where the company’s secrets are uncovered between runs. It is the only place in the loop that is not a panic room.
The rule, in order
- 01 Read it between runs, not mid-run. It is the one screen that does not have a timer on it.
- 02 Treat rewards as budget: what you unlock changes what the next run can afford to try.
Why it matters
A run in Escape from Playtime is a series of small commitments made with incomplete information, and this rule is one of the levers that decides how expensive a wrong commitment is. Treat it as a budget rather than a stat: the team that knows what it is spending is the team that gets to choose when to leave.
