CatNap is the calming one: the toy-line copy is about making sure he and his friends get the right amount of sleep before the morning’s play, and about enjoying the sight of his friends sleeping soundly. The lore also records the thing that made him infamous — a production fault that had some CatNap plushies emit Red Smoke instead of lavender, which produced nightmares and a recall. Both halves matter here: the designed scent is lavender, and the Red Smoke is a documented manufacturing accident, not his character.

Timing. CatNap is the patience pick: hold the quiet route, wait out a patrol, and take the long way when the short one is loud. The Red Smoke story is lore, not a mechanic to plan around.
